You do not need to install the DirectPlay Windows Feature, and ignore any errors that appear after the installation completes from it trying to open the 1998 game. Do not install DirectX 6 when prompted.(I recommend C:\Program Files (x86)\Sega\SonicR, personally.) If you get an error saying "This app can't run on your PC", right click on the disc drive and choose Open or Explore and double click on Setup.exe instead.
